What started as a simple gesture of goodwill became something much bigger. In 2022, founders Patrick and Sandra began making Rule 62 hats — a reminder to “don’t take yourself too damn seriously” — as gifts for friends in long-term recovery. That first hat sparked real connection, and soon people across the country were asking how they could get one too.

From our home to yours, our passion for quality headwear quickly grew into a full-blown business. Our barn turned into a workshop, and our kitchen table became a design desk.
